As stressed Sergei Ivanov, speaking in the program “Vesti on Saturday” channel “Russia 1”, personally, he would like sanctions against Russia lasted a little longer. “There would be no happiness, Yes the misfortune has helped”, – Ivanov explained his idea. Sanctions appeared to have accelerated the long-planned program of diversification of the Russian economy. “Today, two-thirds of the revenues of the Russian budget non-oil and gas”, – said the head of Putin’s administration and stated that this is tremendous progress and a very different quality.

However, he warned that it is time soon to say that Russia “get off the oil needle”, rather, it is that the country is on the way to it.

He also provided specific figures on the growth sectors of the Russian economy. In particular, the annual growth of the chemical industry amounted to 30-35% in it began to receive foreign investors. The Kremlin official stressed that all this is because of the sanctions, and added: “Listen, actually be proud of that need.”

Sergei Ivanov admitted that sanctions have caused serious damage, but in his opinion “the worst is behind us”. Ivanov has paid attention that inflation went down and began to grow foreign exchange reserves of the country, while not diminished the reserve Fund and national welfare Fund.

He also suggested that Western countries understand that Russia has stood and that the sanctions were not effective. But this year, Ivanov believes, the sanctions against Russia will not withdraw, “no matter what”.
