In the “Official journal” which publishes the legal acts of the European Union, the text of the resolution of the Council of the EU of 17 June to extend for one year sanctions in connection with accession of the Crimea to Russia.
In the text of the decree States that the Council continues to condemn “the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by the Russian Federation”. Sanctions are subject to renewal in the light of the implementation of the policy of non-recognition. Restrictive measures now introduced to June 23, 2017.
Recall that the sanctions include a ban on imports into the EU of goods from Crimea and Sevastopol, ban on investments by EU citizens and European companies in the Crimea, a ban on tourist activities of the EU in the Crimea, the export of certain goods and technologies to Crimea, etc.
