Ukrainian artists will have to follow the example of “Vopli Vidoplyasova”

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill on amendments to the law “About television and broadcasting” according to which the radio will have to be at least 35% of the songs in the Ukrainian language.

The amendments will take effect in 4 months from the date of adoption of the bill and will be introduced gradually over three years.

First, the quota of songs on the move will be 25, later 30 and finally 35%. Of course, that story exclusively music radio stations: “If songs in the air no, it is clear that this rule does not apply here,” — said the “MK” the author of the bill Victoria syumar.

For failure to comply with its provisions provided for special sanctions. But now the question may arise — how to fill the content if the most famous Ukrainian artists sing in Russian, and those who have already took their place on the musical Olympus (Ani Lorak, Svetlana Loboda, Vera Brezhnev, etc.) and young stars like Alekseeva, Ivan Dorn. Of course, Ukrainians have “Okean Elzy” Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and “Screams Vidopliassova” Oleg Violin, singing in their native language, — here, perhaps, and all. So the rest of the artists will probably have to think about changing texts, and the students taste preferences.
