The UN Secretary General refused to apologize for the words about Russia, Ukraine usbecause

UN Secretary-General ban Ki-moon is not going to refute his statement regarding Russia’s role in stabilizing the situation in Ukraine that caused the irritation in the Ukraine. Earlier in Kiev the UN Secretary General blamed the fact that he almost supports an “aggressor”.

Ban Ki-moon, made a statement during the St. Petersburg international economic form (SPIEF).

He stressed the role of Russia in resolving global issues, including conflicts in Ukraine and Syria, as well as efforts in the struggle for human rights and controlling the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

The permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko has subjected these words to sharp criticism. He stated that he could not understand why the head of the UN fact praised Russia in conflict settlement in the Donbass, when she is allegedly a major participant in the “aggression against Ukraine”.

The envoy added that Kiev sent an official letter to the General Assembly of the United Nations with the requirement to explain the words of the UN Secretary-General and fix them.

In turn, the official representative of the UN Secretary General Stefan Dujarric said that the organization is not going to abandon that was said. “I’m not going to analyze and respond to criticism, which may have been received,” he said.

It should be noted that at the UN there’s speech ban Ki-moon’s announcement at the SPIEF. Now, however, her words about Russia’s role in the conflict in Ukraine has not.
