Kudrin urged the government not to be afraid of unpopular economic reforms

Former Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, speaking at the St. Petersburg economic forum, said about the need for serious economic reforms. However, this prevents the fear of society and the authorities, he said.

“Today you can be afraid to lose political rating, to quarrel with any social group in the way of these changes, but I think that today it has become a problem”, – believes the head of the Council of the Foundation Center for strategic research.

To help make the necessary, albeit unpopular conversion needs appropriate institutions, Kudrin is sure. However, according to him, currently, they work poorly.
