The Russian company “Gazprom” intends to withdraw from 4.3 thousand kilometers of trunk pipelines on the territory of Ukraine, said the head of monopoly Alexey Miller at St. Petersburg international economic forum.
According to him, the capacity release will save about $ 1.6 billion, which went to the maintenance of infrastructure. Miller said that the transit of 30 billion cubic meters of gas via Ukraine cost Gazprom from 25 to 43 billion dollars. “You need to understand who they will compensate,” he said.
