Ukrainians Afanasyev and Soloshenko were exchanged for Ukrainians Slishinsky and Didenko

An unexpected twist in the exchange of prisoners: prisoners in Russia Ukrainian citizens Soloshenko and Afanasyev, apparently, exchanged for the prisoner, journalist Elena Lisinskog. Another defendant in exchange – another Odessa journalist, Vitaliy Didenko. Both saw in the Moscow airport. Previously it was assumed that the change will be citizens of the Russian Federation Nefedova and Sakauov contained in the Odessa SIZO “may 2”. Why did the organizers of the exchange, as they say in Odessa, “pereobulsya on the go”?

Ukrainian journalists Olena Sliwinska and Vitaliy Didenko arrived in Moscow.

Director of TV company “New wave”, the citizen of Ukraine Elena Sliwinska was arrested by the SBU on charges of creating a so-called “Bessarabian autonomy” in April of last year. On April 27 in prison her son was born. The child was immediately placed in intensive care, he was diagnosed with serious health problems. The journalist has two more minor children.

According to Odessa edition “Timer”, the evening of 13 June, an extraordinary meeting of the court seised of the case Glescinskas on which the court ordered her release from custody in connection with the condition. Together with her husband and son, she was taken to the airport “Gostomel” of the Kiev region, where behind them flew the Russian government aboard the An-148. There, was delivered and Vitaliy Didenko, the editor – in-chief of the website “InfoCenter”. A Ukrainian court sentenced him to three years in prison for separatism. On the eve of Poroshenko has signed a decree to pardon him.

Previously it was assumed that the change will be for the citizens of Russia Evgeny and Maxim Nefedov Sakauov passing on the case about mass riots on Greek square in Odessa on may 2. About the possibility of sharing said on may 29, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. On 10 June the head of the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Hrytsak has confirmed the preparations for the exchange Afanasyev and Soloshenko on two Russians detained in connection with events in Odessa in 2014.

Later this version was confirmed by the leader of the movement “Ukrainian choice” Viktor Medvedchuk.

Recall that Eugene Meadow – a citizen of Russia, which even before the Euromaidan in 2013 moved to permanent residence in Odessa, and bought an apartment there and worked as a taxi driver. 2 may 2014 he appeared in a burning House of trade unions, from which he withdrew the police. Since he received severe injuries and gas poisoning, he was placed in the hospital, where he was arrested by the SBU.

Meadow and another Russian citizen – Sakauov – are accused of involvement in the riots in the Greek area. Currently, they are in jail. The prosecution failed to present convincing evidence of guilt Nefedova. The court has already released three Nefedova under house arrest, but under the pressure of radicals was forced to return him to jail.

Meadow pleads not guilty and has previously stated that refuses exchange. “I’m not willing to give up your life for someone from the terrorists that are sitting in Russia. Let it sit” is the word Nefedova, said during the court session.

In exchange for Nefedova in the “square” was supposed to return (and returned) a citizen of Ukraine Gennadiy Afanasiev, which in 2015 was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment with serving in a colony of General regime on the case of preparation of terrorist acts in the Crimea. In this case also were convicted Yury Sentsov and Alexander Kolchenko.

The exchange shall be the 73-year-old Yuri Soloshenko, a former Director of the Ukrainian plant “Znamya”, which in October 2015 and have been sentenced by Moscow city court to six years in a penal colony for espionage in favor of Ukraine. He was detained in August 2014 during a trip to Moscow in the attempt of illegal acquisition of classified components for the s-300″. In court, he pleaded guilty. Both prisoners wrote a petition for pardon to the President of the Russian Federation, and Putin pardoned them.

Mind sharing Nefedova on Afanasyev and Soloshenko were expressed by the representatives of the banned in Russia “Right sector”. They believe the Russians especially valuable hostage, which should change only on their “sister”. Perhaps with the help Nefedova they hope to get out of prison members of the UNA-UNSO Nicholas Karpyuk and Stanislaus Cliche who had been convicted in Chechnya and sentenced to 22 and a half and 20 years, respectively. The events of June 14 show that the Ukrainian leadership has gone on about the radicals.
