The U.S. Navy intends to send more ships to East Asia

The U.S. Navy intends to send more ships of the third fleet to East Asia. They will act in the region along with the Japan-based seventh fleet, reports Reuters with reference to the anonymous representative of the U.S. government.

It is known that the ships will perform a number of tasks, but the details of these tasks are not specified.

Part of the third fleet consists of four aircraft carriers and over a hundred ships.
