On Tuesday 14 June, the press Secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, during the briefing told journalists that the Russian defence Ministry and the relevant services are closely watching the deployment of foreign armed forces at the Russian borders. According to a Kremlin official, all the movement and change of the contingent are analyzed and, of course, take the necessary measures to protect the interests and security of Russia, reports TASS.

Earlier, a senior NATO spokesman said that four battalions of 800-1000 people appear in the Baltic States and Poland in early 2017. However, the exact data will be announced most likely at the Alliance’s summit in Warsaw, which will take place on 8-9 July. Basically it will be the soldiers of the USA and Germany. They will change every six months.

We will remind also that the head of NATO Jens Stoltenberg said that the Alliance intends to take the biggest reinforcement since cold war because of the Russian threat.
