Foreigners denied entry to Uzbekistan


The Uzbek authorities decided to temporarily close border crossing checkpoints on the border with neighboring States.

“Uzbekistan suspends admission of citizens, vehicles and cargo entering Uzbekistan from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. Introduced by the Uzbek side the restriction will be in effect until June 25 of this year. An exception will be made for residents exclave Barak Kara-Suu district of Osh region (Kyrgyzstan),” – said the Kyrgyz border service.
