As reported Tuesday morning by defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the army must be prepared to meet the challenges in armed conflicts of varying intensity, as well as crisis situations.

The Minister also demanded to pay attention to the mobilization component of the armed forces, to assess the condition of reserve units and placed in storage stocks of weapons and military equipment.

In addition, Shoigu ordered to inform the military attachés of foreign embassies to conduct inspections in the armed forces, reports RIA Novosti. The Minister also noted that the test will continue until June 22.

It should be noted that the practice of unannounced inspections of combat readiness in the Russian army was resumed three years ago. Periodically, audits are carried out large-scale military exercises of the operational-strategic level, involving tens of thousands of soldiers.
