The founders of Led Zeppelin will appear before the court on the claim about plagiarism

The court of Los Angeles will consider the claim of plagiarism was filed against the founders of the legendary rock group Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy page and Robert plant, writes The Guardian. The subject of the proceedings was the song “Stairway to Heaven”. According to the plaintiffs – assignees group Spirit – an introduction to the song was entirely borrowed from their song called “Taurus”.

The representatives of the Spirit drew attention to the fact that this song was recorded in 1967, and referred to the song Led Zeppelin – in the early 1970s. Representatives Led Zeppelin claimed that he was not familiar with the work of the Spirit in the moment of writing the hit, but later it turned out that they were the opening act for Spirit in 1968 in the United States.
