Maduro: a referendum for the resignation of President will be held no earlier than 2017


A referendum on the termination of powers of the President of Venezuela will take place no earlier than 2017, said Nicolas Maduro.

“We ate the conditions for referendum are met, then the referendum will be held next year. If the conditions are not met, then the referendum will not” – said the Venezuelan leader.

Nicolas Maduro became President of Venezuela in April 2013. He became the successor of Hugo Chavez, who died in March of that year from cancer.
