With the Sun mysteriously disappeared all stains

For the first time in nearly two years with the Sun gone are all the spots one. According to astrophysicists, this means that in my life lights will soon come a new phase of the eleven-year cycle of fluctuations in activity. Sunspots provoke coronary mass ejections, which, in turn, cause magnetic storms on Earth.

The number of sunspots declined to zero 3 June, and since then, new spots never showed up for it, according to astrophysicist Tony Phillips, editor of the site SpaceWeather.com.

His last to date, the peak of solar activity was reached in April 2014, when the Sun at a time can be seen in an average of 116 spots. While astrophysicists have noted that the current cycle is not yet complete — in all likelihood, after some time the stains will reappear, then disappear again. Thus the periods during which the sun will be “clean”, the first will continue for a few days, then weeks, then months. The nearest minimum in solar activity is expected to be achieved in 2019-2020.

Although magnetic storms on Earth, provoking the deterioration of health of meteosensitive people, and sometimes disruptions in electronics, in the period of minimum solar activity may become less, there is at this period of the solar cycle and its drawbacks: in particular, the upper layers of Earth’s atmosphere will become more cold and dense, causing the space junk begins to rotate closer to the planet. Will also increase the likelihood of falling on the Earth of radiation from deep space, the planet from which usually protects the heliosphere.

Sun spots are the points where on the surface of the star out of a strong magnetic field. Spot these around на1500 degrees on the Kelvin scale is colder than other parts of the surface of the Sun. The eleven-year solar cycle, which is also called the cycle of Schwabe-wolf, includes a four-year period of increasing solar activity and the seven-year period of its reduction.
