Turkish Antalya has lost 96% of Russian tourists

The number of Russian tourists in the Turkish resort of Antalya for the first five months of 2016 was reduced by 96% compared to the same period last year, the newspaper Hurriyet. Local authorities reported that Antalya was visited only 21 thousand Russians. The publication connects such depressing statistics as the security issues and the crisis in relations between the two countries. Recall, after the attack on the Russian su-24 Moscow has stopped Charter flights to Turkey.

According to the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR), at least to Turkey and began to fly tourists from Germany: for the period in Antalya arrived at 30% less than Germans. The number of tourists from the Netherlands decreased by 33%, from Britain — by 20%. This is due to the fact that Europeans are concerned about the security situation in the country. Amid declining tourist arrivals from these countries only increased the number of visitors from Ukraine (+57%).
