The Russians began to choose bread and milk instead of fruit and fish

Russian citizens have increasingly started to save on everyday products. A record decline in real income last year led to the fact that the consumption of nonfood products fell by 20 percent, and food by 4.2%.

The decline was slightly offset by rising demand for cheaper goods, while the popularity of products of long using, the economy began to grow in 2011, and cheap food — in 2013.

The calorie intake per capita and the size of Russians ‘ spending on products has remained approximately at the same level.

However, the diet of Russians there have been some changes: the inhabitants of the country began increasingly to abandon fruit, fish, vegetables, seafood and alcohol in favor of bread, dairy products and potatoes.

In the future may be a shift in the direction of cereals, oils, flours, seasonal vegetables and sugar, writes “Kommersant” citing a study of Analytical credit rating agencies (ACRA).

Earlier, MK wrote that the Russians on the average began to spend on food more than half of their income. With more than 55 percent of Russians decided to abandon the usual products.
