Belarusians forbidden to buy Polish globes of the Crimea as part of Russia

In the Belarusian city of Mogilev with the shelves removed the globes produced in Poland, in which Crimea was marked as Russian territory. The local Executive Committee recommended that the stores to avoid selling political maps and globes, on the territorial affiliation of the Peninsula is at odds with universally recognized by the international community.

So the regional administration responded to the complaint of the representatives of the Belarusian social democratic party “Gromada”, euroradio reports.fm. The opposition stated that the designation of Crimea as part of Russia introduces buyers is misleading and contradicts the official position of Minsk on the Peninsula.

In turn, the Director of the company that manufactured the globe, explained that they were issued primarily for the Russian market.

In early April the Minister of foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei stated that in determining the status of the Crimea Minsk proceed from the actual situation. He stressed that nobody demands from Belarusian authorities to recognize the Crimea as part of Russia.

The foreign Minister stressed the need to preserve the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Belarussian foreign Ministry warned its citizens about the administrative responsibility for the visit to Crimea without the permission of the Ukrainian authorities.
