In addition to the mummies in the burial, on which farmers stumbled, they found baby toys and ceramics. These items are examined by professional archeologists, who came to the conclusion that these things belong to the pre-Columbian culture Copiapo. The representatives of this culture lived in the Chilean region of Atacama, where a grave was discovered, from 1000 to 1400 years. The mummy, according to the researchers, is well preserved, helped by the fabric llama wool, and plant fibers, which were wrapped body. Scientists suggest that at the time of death the children were about 5-7 years old, and a female 50-60. In the near future for a more detailed study of the mummy is expected to be transferred to the capital of Chile.

Recently it became known that the group of American scientists with the help of computer tomography and 3D printing technologies have managed to create a three-dimensional model of a much more ancient mummies, whose age is about 5 300 years old. We are talking about the mummy was found in 1991, the so-called “Iceman” or ötzi — a nickname he received in honor of the ötz valley in the Alps, near which was discovered. Hand-painted model, created life-size, is scheduled to exhibit at exhibitions around the world. Earlier in ötzi’s stomach, scientists found a strain of the bacteria Helicobacter pylori, similar to the one that circulated in Asia today. Experts expressed the hope that this finding will clarify the history of the migration of ancestors of modern Europeans.
