Turkey recalled its Ambassador from Germany because of the resolution on the Armenian genocide

Turkey, as expected, painfully and hysterically reacted to the adoption by the Bundestag resolution on genocide against Armenians in 1915. Ankara has already recalled its Ambassador from Berlin, the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Kurtulmus called the resolution a historic mistake, and in the Turkish ruling party is preparing a tough resolution against the actions of the German deputies. Previously in Turkey were heard and the calls to withdraw from the Treaty on migrant workers, if Germany recognize the Armenian genocide.

Urgent message to Turkish television channel 24 TV. Turkish authorities immediately decided to recall its Ambassador in Berlin Hussein Avni Karslioglu. He was told to fly to Ankara for consultations.

The reason for the demarche was the adoption by the Bundestag by an absolute majority of votes a resolution recognizing as genocide the mass killings of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire in 1915. Opposed by only one member and one abstained.

As RIA “news”, already followed by the reaction of the officials of Turkey. So the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said that Turkey will give the answer to this step of Germany on all platforms. He urged to resolve this issue not politicians, and historians. He also said that the decision is not legally binding for Turkey but perceived as unfriendly. He called a historic mistake, the adoption of a “distorted and unfounded allegations of genocide”.

Press Secretary of the Turkish governing party of justice and development party (AK party) Yasin Aktay in turn, said that the resolution of the Bundestag have seriously damaged the relations between Turkey and Germany. Now the AKP is preparing in the Turkish Parliament Declaration against the German resolution.
