“More hell” Nevsky “renamed” in the prospectus Kadyrov


In Saint Petersburg activists of the movement “Open Russia” proposed to rename the Nevsky prospect in prospect of Ramzan Kadyrov. Thus they supported the toponymic innovations of the Smolny, decided to name the first President of Chechnya Akhmad Kadyrov bridge across the Duderhof canal.

Their share of supporters of the social movement, founded by the former head of Yukos Mikhail Khodorkovsky, called “More Hell”.

“After the bridge A. Kadyrov proposed to rename the major thoroughfare in prospect of Ramzan Kadyrov, and the river Fontanka – the river Terek”, – is reported on the page “Open Russia,” the social network “Vkontakte”. There are also published photos from the “renamed” Prospekt and the Fontanka embankment.

Thus, the activists reacted to the intention of the toponymic Commission of the Northern capital to perpetuate the name of the father of the current head of Chechnya – Akhmad Kadyrov, calling after him a nameless bridge over the Duderhof canal. Against this decision openly the head of the city Parliament Commission for education, culture and science Maxim Reznik, actor Oleg Basilashvili and Director Alexander Sokurov.

Ramzan Kadyrov has called the “right and fair” the decision of the Commission about naming his father the bridge in St. Petersburg. The President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that this issue should be resolved by local authorities, as it is not on the agenda of the Kremlin. While Sands was difficult to say what opinion on this matter adheres to the head of state, born in St. Petersburg.
