The President of Turkey did not understand what it wants from Moscow


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey does not want to “quarrel” with his longtime partner – Russia. To restore friendly relations between States, Erdogan is even ready to apologize to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, however, he asked to tell him why.

Such statement the President of Turkey has made, commenting on the statements of Moscow that Turkey needs to take the first step to meet Russia.

“I do not understand what the first step from us (from Turkey – approx. ed.) is expected in Moscow” – said Erdogan, whose words are quoted by RIA Novosti, stressing that Turkey, figuratively speaking, is not sitting in the chair of the accused.

“To quarrel with Russia we do not want, on the contrary want to develop relations with this country”, – stated he.

In cooling between the two countries, the Turkish President accused the deceased on the Russian-Syrian border, the pilot of the Russian su-24 bomber : “With Vladimir Putin we were friends, but because of the pilot who made the mistake of Russia sacrificed a friend like Turkey,” said the Turkish head of state, adding that such categorization is Putin “gives us much to ponder”.

At the same time, he stressed that Turkey refuses to return to the old relations with his Russian partner and willing to make the effort to “re-build relations with Russia”.
