The Chairman of “Gazprom” Alexander Medvedev commented on the statement by the representative of the government of Poland, Piotr Naimski of the intention to abandon Russian gas after 2022. Medvedev recalled the tale of “the Golden fish”.

“A well-known tale, when the old woman asked that the goldfish made her the mistress of the sea, and as a result she was left with nothing,” – said the representative of “Gazprom”. According to him, the company hopes that with nothing, no one will. However, the statement of the Polish authorities appear to be ill-considered and political that do not make sense, said Medvedev.

He noted that until recently, Warsaw was asked to increase the supply of Russian gas to the same part throughout the country are still not gasified. At the same time Medvedev considers unsustainable idea of construction of the LNG terminal for American fuel.

“I don’t see how us LNG from charitable purposes will go to Poland, Portugal, UK”, – said the representative of “Gazprom” making comments on current market situation.
