G7: I Want to conduct a dialogue with Russia, but the sanctions do not cancel


The leaders of G7 countries agreed on the importance of maintaining dialogue with Russia. In this speech on the lifting of economic sanctions against Russia yet: their duration associated with the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

“The duration of the sanctions related to the full implementation by Russia of the Minsk agreements. The sanctions can be lifted when Moscow will fulfill these obligations, says the final Declaration of the summit “the big seven” in Japan. – We recognize the importance of continuing the dialogue with Russia in order to ensure that the commitments it has undertaken obligations and norms of international law to achieve inclusive, sustainable and peaceful solution to the crisis”.

G7 leaders called on all parties to the conflict in Ukraine to take concrete steps on ceasefire in accordance with Minsk agreements, TASS reports, stating that the leaders of the “seven” have confirmed the intention to maintain the sanctions against Russia related to Crimea.

With regard to the Syrian conflict, G7 expects that Russia and Iran will require the ATS authorities to respect the ceasefire. In addition, state leaders welcomed Moscow’s commitment to cooperate with Damascus to reduce the number of aircraft operations in areas with civilians.
