Brent crude exceeded $ 50 for the first time since November last year


According to trading on the London exchange ICE the price of a barrel of Brent crude exceeded $ 50 per barrel. It was the first time since the beginning of November 2015.

The registered increase in the price of oil of this brand of 2.8%. As on 04:37 GMT it amounted to 50.03 USD per barrel.

The price of July futures of WTI on the new York stock exchange NYMEX increased by 0.94 per cent and is 49,56 dollars per barrel, reports TASS.

Amid rising prices for oil on Wednesday, may 25, there was a strengthening of the ruble. On the Moscow exchange by the end of trading cost 65,50 ruble (minus 68 cents), Euro — 73,08 ruble (lost 62 cents).

As recalls “Ribbon.<url>, 16 may Bank Goldman Sachs published forecasts that oil price will increase to $ 50 due to the fall in its production. In recent weeks the pace has decreased due to unforeseen circumstances, forest fires in Canada and the terrorist attacks on pipelines in Nigeria.
