As told “MK” in the Institute, to staff the task is to solve the problem the development of small power sources. Now scientists have begun to develop a nuclear battery super small size, which would be particularly effective. To use a nuclear battery for cardiac pacemakers, micro-robots, as well as for devices running at greater depths in the far North and in space. On the creation of miniature nuclear batteries, the researchers plan to spend three years.

Meanwhile, recently a graduate student of Tomsk Polytechnic University have invented a nuclear battery, which is able to operate without recharging for decades. To use this source of nutrition in medicine, in military and space technology. Besides him, the researchers also presented the prototype of a nuclear battery that can continuously work for 50 years.
