Putin suggested the Federation Council to leave the Prosecutor General Chaika


The head of the state office of public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika may be re-approved at this post. The Federation Council has already submitted his candidacy.

The Chairman of the constitutional Committee of the Federation Council Andrey Klishas said that the proposal of the President on approval of Prosecutor General Yury Chaika for a new term entered the chamber.

According to him, RIA Novosti quoted, most likely the decision the senators will make already 25 may.

Yuri Chaika was headed by the Prosecutor General in 2006. The term of office of the Prosecutor General is 5 years. He is appointed to the post by the Federation Council on representation of the President.
