Representatives of the “Norman Quartet” – the presidents of Russia, France and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin, Francois Hollande and Petro Poroshenko, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel held another conference, during which discussed the situation in the Donbass.
As the press service of the President of the Russian Federation, in the framework of the talks, the sides discussed the issues of political settlement of the situation in the so-called zone of contact in Donbas, stressing the need to respect the ceasefire.
“The participants reiterated their commitment to the Minsk agreements, as well as the need for their early realization in full”, – stated in the communique of administration of the President of France Francois Hollande.
For his part, Vladimir Putin urged the Ukrainian authorities to stop shelling the settlements in the South-East of the country and to establish direct dialogue with the representatives of the breakaway republics of DND AND LNR, which was envisaged by the Minsk agreements of February 12, 2015.
Also for consideration by the Contact group was presented consistent with the DNI and LC a package of proposals for the local elections, the special status of Donbass, Amnesty and decentralization of Ukraine.Related posts:
