Japanese opposition welcomed the possibility of concluding a peace Treaty with Russia


The Chairman of the main opposition Democratic progressive party of Japan Katsuya Okada shares the position of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the issue of concluding a peace Treaty with Russia.

“I agree with the stance Prime Minister Abe, who is going to solve the problem during the tenure of the President of Russia Putin. He is a very strong leader,” said Okada at a press conference in the headquarters of the party.

While his party “is of the opinion that a peace Treaty can be concluded only after the decision of the territorial issue”.
