President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the amount of funds spent by Ankara on the reception of refugees from Syria and Iraq. Speaking at the First world humanitarian summit in Istanbul, the Turkish leader told about the $ 10 billion allocated for assistance to refugees. At the same time, the international community, according to Erdogan, spent $ 456 million dollars.

Conversations about the sum of the costs for refugees are conducted in the context of the bilateral dialogue between Turkey and EU.
