Washington said about the probable elimination of the leader of grouping “the Taliban”


Pentagon spokesman Peter cook said that as a result of air strikes inflicted by the us military in Afghanistan, likely was killed the head of terrorist grouping “the Taliban” Mullah Akhtar Mansour.

Cook noted that the blow was struck from the air near the border with Pakistan in the car, which drove the leader of the militants. Cook also stressed that the results of the attack are specified. According to the Pentagon, the air strike was approved by President Barack Obama.

Grouping “the Taliban” is recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization, its activities prohibited on the territory of the country.
