The Ministry of economic development was identified as an important measure of raising the retirement age for men and women to 63-65 years. These findings are contained in the materials prepared for the meetings of the Economic Council under the President of the Russian Federation.

While the MAYOR believes that these measures are needed not only from the point of view of balancing the pension system, how much for “extending the period of productive life for future retirees and reducing the shortage of manpower in the market.”

According to the Ministry, as a result of demographic waves of Russia in the coming years will lose 200-300 thousand of the economically active population annually. This trend will change only in the mid-twenties.
