Libya received guarantees of non-interference of foreign military without the official request of the authorities

The international community assured the national consensus government of Libya that the country will not be carried out military operations without permission from Libyan authorities, according to Sputnik.

“I know that the international community has stated that they will not interfere, unless there are official requests. It is their position” – said charge d’affaires of Libya to USA Wafa Bugaighis. She also noted the importance of a unified international support for the Palestinian national consensus government to counter “the many armed groups vying for influence in Libya.”

In March 2016 in the Libyan capital Tripoli began the work of the national consensus government, created with the support of the UN, but the democratically elected Parliament in the city of Tobruk is still not supported him.
