Grushko: NATO’s expansion contradicts the creation of European security system

NATO expansion is contrary to the need of a new system of collective security in Europe, said Russia’s envoy to NATO Alexander Grushko.

The diplomat noted that the membership of Montenegro in NATO will strengthen the dividing lines in Europe. According to Grushko, “it is obvious that this is another step that weakens regional security and stability and deepen the dividing lines, including in the Balkan region”.
