In the press appeared information about the fact that Jamal has flagrantly violated one of the main rules of “Eurovision”, presenting the audience with the old composition.

Ukrainian journalist and blogger Anatoly Shary found on YouTube a video of the concert performance of the singer from 18 may 2015, where she actually performed the song “1944”. This is contrary to the rule of “Eurovision” — it doesn’t have anywhere to “light up” earlier than 1 September of the previous year.

As reported by Shary on your YouTube channel, on the idea that the song could be “late”, it brought the words of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, reported that Jamal’s victory song was previously called “our Crimea”, and performed in the Tatar language.

However, the spokesperson of the Eurovision Paul Jordan in an interview Life.ru he said that Ukraine did not violate the contest rules. According to him, the recording of the song “1944” was made without the knowledge of the performer at a private event (evening-Requiem dedicated to the Day of deportation of the Crimean Tatars – ed.), tickets which have not been sold. “However, someone of the guests filmed despite the ban,” he said.

Jordan said that the commercial release of the song was carried out in February 2016, and the first public appearance during the semi — final of competition “Eurovision”, and therefore was no violation.
