The Federation Council approved a bill to raise the retirement age of officials


The Federation Council has passed the approval of the bill, which envisages raising the retirement age for officials. Now, the document will be signed in Vladimir Putin and in case of approval, the President will enter into force on 1 January 2017.

In this case, for civil servants will be introduced gradually raising the age of retirement by 6 months per year until it reaches 65 years for men and 63 years for women.

According to calculations, the adoption of the law in 2016 can bring reduction of costs of the Pension Fund of Russia for the sum more than 622 million rubles.
