Polad Bulbul-oglu began singing at the bronze

Almost all of Azerbaijan gathered on Prechistenka street. The occasion — presentation of a new sculpture by Zurab Tsereteli from the cycle “My contemporaries”. This time the Master immortalized Baku Nightingale, and now Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbul oglu. Among the guests of the evening was “MK”.

— Mr. Ambassador, what song do you associate with the monument?

— With all of my compositions. The work was gorgeous, bright and flashy. Zurab was able to observe all proportion, although I did not pose. This song is an invention of the author. A I accidentally learned from a friend. Thanks to Zurab: all that he did in one life, usually have time for five…

— I liked the monument, — says Joseph Kobzon. — I asked his master how much weight bronze Polad, and he said, “Much less than alive.” Indeed, he has done a lot and not all is said. So his work, as Zurab Tsereteli, will be remembered for a long time.
