According to him, which leads TASS, in 2014 Russians spent abroad 53 billion euros, while in 2015 this amount has decreased significantly, amounting to only 35 billion euros.

The Minister said this amount is still “giant”, but we noted a positive trend. In his opinion, the reduction in foreign spending the citizens of the 18 billion euros means that they “have not been invested in foreign economies”.

While Medina and shared statistics on domestic travel. So, according to him, there was also growth in the number of tourists with 29 million people in 2013 to 40 million in 2014 and 50 million trips in 2015. The Minister has not explained, why has brought the latest data on the trips, not about people, although one person can travel around the country several times a year.

However, he said that over the past year, there has been an 18 percent increase, again not explaining, talking about trips or on the number of tourists.

According to the Minister, many people are “missing” and are ready to re – “discover Russia”.

We will note that earlier the management of the Federal tourism Agency said about the exhaustion of the tourism potential of the Crimea and the Krasnodar territory in connection with the fact that there is no opportunity to take a greater number of tourists than come now. Thus, the previous main directions of beach rest of the Russians — Egypt and Turkey — continue to be forbidden for the agencies that currently do not have the right to sell travel to those countries. In the first case this is due to the terrorist threat after the collapse of the A321 over the Sinai, and in the second- the deterioration of relations between Russia and Turkey after the Turkish air force attack on Russian bomber in Syria.
