Their arrival is timed to the 100th anniversary of the last visit of Emperor Nicholas II in the Crimea.
As the adviser of the office of the head of the Romanov dynasty in the Crimean region Vladislav Pilkevich, official meeting of distinguished guests was held at the pavilion of the official delegations the international airport of Simferopol. Duchess and Tsesarevich Georgii Mikhailovich Romanov will be on the Peninsula until may 20.

Maria Vladimirovna was born and lives in Spain. She is the only child from the marriage of Vladimir Kirillovich Romanov, head of the Russian Imperial house in exile, son of Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich proclaimed himself in 1924 by the Russian Emperor in exile, and Princess Leonida Bagration of Mukhrani.
