Kerry announced a partial lifting of the arms embargo with Libya

U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry announced that representatives of the foreign Ministry, more than 20 countries have agreed to partially lift the arms embargo against Tripoli, which has been active since 2011.

“Military aid to the Libyan people must be strengthened. The international community will support the presidential Council in the decision making exception of the arms embargo”, he said.

This will allow Tripoli to request weapons as needed, especially to protect the country and fight with ISIS.
