Jamal: on the political subtext of my song to say inappropriate

This opinion was expressed by the winner of “Eurovision 2016”, the singer from Ukraine Jamal.

“My country deserved to win the contest… as for me – first and foremost I am a musician. My song “1944” is a composition about the fate of my people in the Soviet years. The organizers of “Eurovision” political implication in it is not found… Although, I’m sure this contest has always been political in nature,” she said.
