The Pentagon is concerned about what Putin said about stopping the threat of missile defense

The Pentagon has expressed extreme concern about the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who said yesterday at a meeting with the leadership of the military-industrial complex in Sochi that Russia should consider “stopping the threat” arising from the placement of US ABM elements in Poland and Romania.

According to the newspaper Wall Street Journal, Deputy Minister of defense Robert Wark have considered such a statement by the Russian leader’s threat and urged Russia to think about their statements, because the United States wants to cooperate with Russia, if possible. “But these threats are extremely contradictory, and they seriously concern us,” added Wark.

Earlier in Washington, said that the missile defense system is not able to protect US from Russian missiles and aims to protect from threats from the Middle East and North Korea.
