Mexico expects to resume the supply of meat in Russia

The head of the national service for health, safety and quality of agricultural products of Mexico, Enrique Sanchez Cruz said that the country’s authorities are counting on the negotiations with the representatives of Russia on the resumption of supplies of beef.

“The idea is that soon there will be a meeting in Paris in the framework of the OECD between the heads of veterinary authorities of Mexico and Russia, to continue negotiations, we are open,” said Sanchez Cruz.

Recall that the Rosselkhoznadzor has restricted the import of meat from Brazil, Mexico, Canada and the United States due to the presence of the banned stimulant ractopamine, which is used in livestock to increase muscle mass in animals in December 2012.
