The OSCE reacted to the danger from the Ukrainian website “Peacemaker”


The OSCE representative on freedom of the media Dunja Mijatovic seriously concerned about the safety of media workers in Ukraine. The cause of the alarm was the publication of the site “Peacemaker” personal data of journalists accredited to work in the DNI and LC.

Personal data of more than 4 thousand Ukrainian journalists and international media such as CNN, AFP, Reuters, BBC, New York Times, Vice News and Al Jazeera, “leaked” to the Network 10 may. Staff “Peacemaker” accused the journalists of cooperating with the militants of the terrorist organization”.

“This is a very disturbing development may lead to further deterioration of the security situation for journalists, commented on the situation Dunja Mijatovic. Journalists covering issues of public interest, and they should not be prosecuted for doing their job.”

According to the representative of the OSCE troubling is the fact that some of the journalists whose details were on the Internet, has received threats.
