Poroshenko pointed to ideological error in the text of the anthem of Ukraine

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko proposed to correct the ideological error in the text of the national anthem. The author of the initiative was confused by the words “not yet dead Ukraine”.

On the official website of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appeared the petition with a proposal to rewrite the national anthem. The author of the petition found in this unwanted overtones.

“I ask to change the national anthem of Ukraine, as it contains the lines: “Still not dead Ukraine”, has a hidden implication that Ukraine must die! This is unacceptable and unpatriotic! Please correct ideological mistake,” reads the petition, which at the time of publication of the material was signed by 10 people.

Anthem to the words of Pavlo chubyns’kyi and the music of Mikhail Verbitsky “Sche not vmerla Ukraine” the Verkhovna Rada of the country formally adopted in 2003. Then the beginning of the anthem was changed to “haven’t died Yet of Ukraine and the glory and the will.”

Recently he was offered to turn Crimea into an island, separated from the Ukraine by an artificial channel, to remake Russian names and surnames into Ukrainian fashion, to rename the Square in Kievan Rus, and Russia – in the Katsap, and to prohibit the supply of Russian gas.

To the President of Ukraine has considered the particular proposal, for three months, it must support a minimum of 25 thousand people, which, however, does not guarantee compulsory approval. Contained in the petitions of the proposal are considered from the point of view of legitimacy and feasibility of their implementation.
