Seen in the DPRK allegedly executed earlier, ex-chief of staff


The former chief of the General staff of the Korean people’s army ri Yong-Gil noted in the circle of senior elites of North Korea. Earlier it was reported that he could have been arrested last February. The South Korean Agency Yonhap reported citing informed sources that he was allegedly executed, allegedly on charges of corruption and other crimes, including personal enrichment.

According to the Japanese Agency Kyodo, photo ri Yong Gil was placed in the Central newspaper Rodong Sinmun of the country as a candidate member of the Politburo of the workersparty of Korea, whose Congress ended yesterday in Pyongyang.
