“Removed kokoshnik” Maria Gaidar resigned after threats of Ukrainian nationalists

Political career of Maria Gaidar on Ukraine, apparently, ended. Former citizen of Russia wrote a letter of resignation from the post of acting Deputy head of the Odessa regional administration after arrived in its address threats from Ukrainian nationalists.

On his dismissal, Gaidar said in an interview to the edition “Timer”. She stressed that now all the questions will be in charge of another Deputy Governor Mikhail Saakashvili – Salome Bobrovskaya.

At the same time Gaidar added that they want to divide the departments of health and social policy. “I’m here to work honestly. And all payments paid,” she said.

On the eve of the representatives of nationalist organizations “Self-defense” and the local branch of the so-called Automaidan demanded that Gaidar resigned and left the territory of Ukraine.

In particular, they urged Gaidar to “remove the headdress, to kneel and ask for forgiveness”. According to them, it can “only cry and drink at the restaurant, shame Saakashvili and his team.

Gaidar moved to Ukraine in July 2015. First, Saakashvili appointed her as his adviser, then the Odessa Governor made her his Deputy. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko granted her Ukrainian citizenship, for which Gaidar refused Russian passports.
