International consortium of investigative journalism (ICIJ) laid out in open access database of customers of the Panama company, the Registrar Mossack Fonseca.

The database includes sorted data for multiple countries, the site offers to implement multi search: by country, offshore legal entities, as well as locations in specific countries.
It is interesting to note that Russia is one of the countries leading in the number of registered offshore companies and their owners: the number in the first database is 7319, and the second – 2229.
In this regard, our country is at the level of developed economies: for example, when searching from the UK found 8354 offshore companies, but only 920 of their respective owners. In turn, the website provides information about 5436 US citizens and 3188 related companies.
The neighbors in the former Soviet Union lag far behind Russia. So, the database of all 165 Ukrainians (and 195 companies), 88 Kazakhs (and 4 offshore company).
International investigators explain that the framework laid out by them for the reason that “some of the best stories not yet discovered”: they are asked to contact them all those who are engaged in offshore investigations via the base station independently. All in all, the result of leakage of the Panama securities in the hands of journalists were 11.5 million documents.
Recently in a press there was recognition of the author of the leak of the documents presented by the John DOE. He did not explain how he received access to confidential information, but stated that with the help of offshore companies are often committed offense, and he intends to fight them through the publication of papers.

We will remind that earlier the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov announced the publication of the anti-Russian provocation, and Putin himself said that the person involved in the scandal and his friend cellist Sergei Roldugin the money from offshore spent on the purchase of rare musical instruments, and eventually even got into debt.Related posts:
