Group “Record the band” recorded a song of Vladimir Vysotsky

The finalists of the TV show “Main stage” band “Record the Orchestra” on the eve of the anniversary of the victory in the great Patriotic War turned to serious topics and recorded a cover version of the song of Vladimir Vysotsky “the Letter”.

“We’ve always wanted to sing on this subject, but I’m not taken, I believe that I have no moral right,” says frontman Timofey Kopylov. “Any global tragedy is the pain of each individual. Whether it’s a humanitarian disaster or war is not important. Loyalty or betrayal, nobility or meanness sometimes fit in a few lines, the price of which is human life.”

A cover version of the band has a very careful attitude to the source, while the clip is made in minimalistic black and white style.

“Understanding the importance of the holiday of the great Victory came in early childhood, not from newspaper editorials and official greetings on television, and at the sight of tears my grandfather’s tankers, a participant in the battle of Kursk. So all of this is deeply personal,” says guitarist Alexey Baryshev.
