Sechin and Abe discussed the cooperation of Rosneft with Japanese partners


In the framework of the extended talks between the Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the head of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin discussed with Abe the development of cooperation of Russian companies with Japanese partners, reports RNS.

During the talks the sides noted the need for the development of oil supplies to Japan. “From spot-market transactions to assurance of supply under long-term contracts (on the basis of the successful experience of cooperation “Rosneft” with JX Nippon), which will allow to increase economic efficiency partnership and the energy security of Japan”, – stated in the message.

In addition, it is noted that about one-third of the total volume of oil exported by Russia to Japan, comes “Rosneft”.
