Running the online broadcast from the bottom of the Mariana trench

Specialists of the National oceanic and atmospheric administration launched an online stream from the bottom of the Mariana trench, is the deepest place on Earth, of all that are open today and available to man. The depth of the depression is about 11 kilometers.

Video feed is in parallel with the three cameras positioned on the apparatus Okeanos Explorer, which began studying depression since the end of April and will continue to work until July. Some of the commentators explaining what is happening in the frame, are on Board of this device. All commenters are scientists, but their full names to viewers is currently unknown, and each other, they are called “Chris”, “Kelly”, and so on.

Experts say that the geological picture of the bottom of the basin is characterized by not very diverse, but abundant details. Viewers are given the opportunity to look at the inhabitants of the deepest point on Earth — for not too long a time since the start of the broadcast cameras lenses the camera has caught an unusual fish, starfish, sponges and other marine life.

The brightest moments of the broadcast is planned from time to time to post on the website of the National oceanic and atmospheric administration, in real time video transmitted through the channel offices on YouTube.
